Tailored, Challenging, Fun
FFI offers rigorous leadership programs for individuals and groups in the United States and internationally. We currently work with middle and high school students, senior citizens, professional leadership groups, civic organizations, faith-based organizations, universities, and more. Every program emphasizes elements of team building, leadership development, cultural appreciation, healthy living, and creativity, and the arts.
Our flexible programs are highly tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of the participants. Our curriculum has evolved to offer virtual, hybrid, and in-person programming. Applications for our programs are accepted on a rolling basis and can be started at any time. We encourage everyone to apply regardless of ethnicity, religion, and socio-economic status.
Individual Leadership Plans
Tailoring Programs For Impact
FFI has developed an innovative approach to leadership and life development for our participants, called Individual Leadership Plans (ILPS). Specifically, FFI staff build a personalized plan for each participant that we use alongside the participant to measure their progress throughout the program and at the culmination. FFI uses a multipronged approach to design tailored programs and objectives for each individual that align with their team goals.

Are you interested in participating in one of the most challenging leadership programs in the country? Looking to be trained on how to transform your desire to make the world a better place with the practical skills necessary to do so? Want to develop a global network of motivated peers who share your vision for a better planet?
Any young person between the ages of 15-18 (must be currently enrolled in high school) can directly apply to an exciting FFI program. This will be an intense program for those looking to enhance their leadership skills.
Groups

We understand that these are "out of the box" times and we are happy to provide "out of the box" programs that are uniquely tailored to your specific school/organization and participant population. Our global reach has provided us with decades of experience working with all cultures.
Due to the amount of time that we devote to each team of participants that we work with, we limit the number of collaborations we embark upon each year. If you feel that your cohort of students would like to have an intense, innovative, and unique leadership development experience that is unlike any other program, you've come to the right place!
Immersion Programs
All FFI Immersion Programs include a cross-cultural trip highly tailored to the team's and individuals' interests and goals. These in-depth programs are our most comprehensive and based on our innovative curriculum and philosophy. Programs are spread out in three distinct phases (Team Building, Skill Building, and Community Building, described below), with home-based & virtual sessions before and after the cross-cultural trip. Each Immersion Program culminates with a participant-designed community action project.
Discovery Programs
Our Discovery Programs allow participants to dig deeper into content areas of their choice. Participants take sessions that match their passion and/or goals. Available sessions include options from our Leadership, Social Studies, Creativity & Arts, Science, Healthy Living, and Adventure Education courses. These programs are perfect for those that cannot commit to the extensiveness of our Immersion Programs but still want the FFI program experience. They can be delivered in several different lengths.
